Manufacturing Engineer Intern



REPORTS TO: Service Manager



STATUS: Hourly



DEPARTMENT: Operations



NEW OR REVISED 12/2015


 



SUMMARY OF POSITION:



The Manufacturing Engineer Intern will be responsible for creating work instructions for all Service Product Manufacturing.



PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


To perform this position successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.



●  Shall adhere to all safety, health and environmental procedures, policies and practices, utilizing personal protective equipment and proper attire in keeping with safety standards.


●  Ensures that all equipment is in safe operating condition and meets or exceeds MIOSHA Standards.


●  Comply with all ISO/TS 16949 & ISO-14001 procedures and work instructions to job description.



Key Accountabilities:



1.  Using standard work instruction format, create service part work instructions and operator documents.


2.  Other assignments as directed by Service Manager.



SKILLS/COMPENTENCIES:



●  Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, policies and procedure manuals and operating instructions.


●  Ability to perform basic mathematical functions such as addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.


●  Basic computer skills, including P.C. knowledge and current technology software familiarity


●  Excellent communication skills - both written and oral



EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS



Note:  Possession of a High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) is required for all new hires in all positions.



●  Bachelor Degree in Engineering or equivalent (pursuing)


●  Must be Junior or Senior level of program
