JAC Products is currently seeking an experienced Director of Sales to join our growing team in Pontiac, MI! Critical to the continued growth and success of the organization, the Director of Sales is responsible for achieving new business sales targets, expansion of sales to existing customers, and successfully managing all aspects of customer relationships.


 


The Director of Sales contributes to the growth and profitability of JAC Products by:


§  Achieving agreed annual sales and new business targets.


§  Maintaining active and effective networking relationships within OEM organizations to identify business growth opportunities.


§  Collaborating with support teams to develop on-time, accurate, and complete quote packages.


§  Negotiating sales contracts to achieve JAC financial targets, ensuring market competitiveness, and representing good value to the customer.


§  Leading the overall customer relationship and ensuring the successful resolution of commercial issues – either directly or through JAC Products teammates.


§  Negotiating Engineering & Design Projects for customer on a project basis as requested.


§  Conducting Business Review Visits (at the Customer site and/or JAC Products site) and related presentations.


§  Successfully pursuing opportunities to conduct technology shows and present new product concepts to customer design, engineering and purchasing teams.


§  Reviewing and approving purchase orders and invoices.


§  Monitoring JAC Products performance in key areas affecting overall customer satisfaction and our status for quoting new business; providing timely alerts to the JAC Products teams regarding areas of concern.


§  Complying with all applicable QMS / EMS, safety, health and environmental procedures, policies and practices.

Job Requirements

Qualified candidates will possess the following skills/competencies:


§  Proven Account and Sales Management skills required to achieve sales targets and to create, maintain, and enhance customer relationships.


§  Extremely detail oriented; demonstrated analytical and project management skills.


§  Technical competence (understand software, hardware, networks, etc.).


§  Motivated, goal-oriented, persistent and a skilled negotiator.


§  High level of initiative and works well in a team environment.


§  Excellent written and oral communication skills.


§  Handles stressful situations and deadline pressures well.


§  Plans and carries out responsibilities with minimal direction.


§  Excellent report-writing and communication skills.


§  Strong listening and questioning skills.


§  Ability to perform fundamental mathematical functions to develop competitive bids from cost data. Must understand and have a working knowledge of the relationship between sell price, cost, gross margin, and contribution margin.


 


Qualified candidates will possess the following education/experience:


§  Bachelor Degree in Business, Marketing or related functional areas. (Note: Possession of a High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) is required for all new hires in all positions.)


§  Minimum of 10 years of Automotive Account/Sales Management, preferred Tier 1 Automotive Supplier.


§  Experience in managing new business development campaigns, coordinating team members, developing timetables and setting deadlines in order to achieve sales objectives.


§  Successful experience in negotiating sales contracts, coordinating the preparation/costing of new product quotes.
