The Lead Maintenance Tech will be responsible for the performance and maintenance of equipment in our new 200,000 sq. ft. manufacturing facility in Napoleon, Ohio.  In addition, this position will set the training plan for developing and mentoring the skills of our other Maintenance Technician roles.


Your Contributions:

  • Responsible for maintaining, setting up, and operating machinery equipment including lathe mill, surface grinder, etc.

  • Troubleshoot and program Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs)

  • Perform advanced fabrication of parts/equipment using vertical mills, drill presses, and welding equipment

  • Independently respond to service calls to inspect, diagnose, fabricate, troubleshoot, and repair machine problems and determine proper corrective action.

  • Execute mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic repairs, as well as problem solving retrofits and emergency repairs

  • Maintain parts inventory for common replaceable items and daily recordkeeping within JAC Products computer maintenance management software (CMMS)

  • Operate Forklift, Overhead Crane, and Aerial Lifts as the need arises 43545

Job Requirements

What you need:

  • Bachelor degree, Journey Worker Certification, or 9 years of equivalent job-related experience

  • 6 years of demonstrated competency in industrial maintenance

  • Advanced understanding of machine and equipment PLCs

  • Effective communication and problem solving skills

  • Advanced maintenance tools and techniques, affected and/or authorized Lock Out/Tag Out process knowledge and Intermediate knowledge of robotics

  • Experience using precision measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers

  • Ability to regularly stand or walk for long periods of time and regularly lift and/or move up to ten (10) pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to twenty-five (25) pounds, and occasionally lift up to fifty (50) pounds
