JAC Products, a leading Global Tier 1 Automotive Supplier, is seeking an experienced Director of Sales to join our growing team in Pontiac, MI! Critical to the continued growth and success of the organization, the Director of Sales is responsible for achieving new business sales targets, expansion of sales to existing customers, and successfully managing all aspects of customer relationships.


Your Contributions:

  • Achieve agreed annual sales and new business targets.
  • Maintain active and effective networking relationships within OEM organizations to identify business growth opportunities.
  • Collaborate with support teams to develop on-time, accurate, and complete quote packages.
  • Negotiate sales contracts to achieve JAC financial targets, ensuring market competitiveness, and representing good value to the customer.
  • Lead the overall customer relationship and ensure the successful resolution of commercial issues – either directly or through JAC Products teammates.
  • Negotiate Engineering & Design Projects for customer on a project basis as requested.
  • Conduct Business Review Visits (at the Customer site and/or JAC Products site) and related presentations.
  • Pursue opportunities to conduct technology shows and present new product concepts to customer design, engineering and purchasing teams.
  • Review and approve purchase orders and invoices.
  • Monitor JAC Products performance in key areas affecting overall customer satisfaction and our status for quoting new business; providing timely alerts to the JAC Products teams regarding areas of concern.

Job Requirements

What You Need:

  • Bachelor Degree in Business, Marketing or related functional areas. (Note: Possession of a High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) is required for all new hires in all positions.)
  • Minimum of 10 years of Automotive Account/Sales Management, Tier 1 Automotive Supplier experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience in managing new business development campaigns, coordinating team members, developing timetables and setting deadlines in order to achieve sales objectives.
  • Successful experience in negotiating sales contracts, coordinating the preparation/costing of new product quotes.
  • Understand and working knowledge of the relationship between sell price, cost, gross margin, and contribution margin.
  • Detail oriented; demonstrated analytical and project management skills.
  • High level of initiative, goal-oriented, and works well in a team environment.
  • Excellent communication skills (report-writing, verbal communication, active listening and questioning).
  • Handles stressful situations and deadline pressures well.
